To your attention – Squier Mini Stratocaster – Dakota Red.
Squier Mini Stratocaster – Dakota Red solid-body electric guitar makes a great instrument for beginners, youngsters, and travelers. This 3/4-size instrument might be cute, but it’s also capable of becoming a tone monster when you plug it in. Like its big brother, the Squier Bullet, the Mini Strat uses three single-coil pickups, volume and tone controls, and 5-way pickup switching to give you an array of great sounds. It also includes a comfortable maple neck, an Indian laurel hardwood fingerboard, and a chrome-plated hardtail bridge. It’s perfect for smaller hands and sized just right for taking on the road.
I owned one of these and have to say it’s great for travelers. But at the same time, it does not have all the necessary features. For example, it does not have a preamp like in Escape MK-II Nylon.
Plus, it is small but not as compact as we usually expect from the instruments dedicated for travel as it has the standard shape. No construction modifications aimed to shrink the size of the instrument like in the headless guitars for example.
